Mr. Roo: In Search of Childhood and Pure Love
Some people grow up. Others keep the child inside them alive. This is exactly where Mr. Roo's story begins. I've loved cartoons since I was a child — and I still watch them. Those worlds hold something we so often miss in real life: innocence. A gaze that doesn't judge, doesn't calculate, but simply marvels. Maybe that's why, even today, I still stop at every playground and want to get on the swing. As I rise toward the sky, I return for a few seconds to those days when anything felt possible. We grow up — but some feelings never do. Mr. Roo is that very feeling, sculpted into form. He is my childlike side and the heart of my character universe: joy, pure love, and the passion to make life a little more beautiful. He is not just a figure, but a symbol of curiosity, of the courage to dream, and of the love that lives on in all of us. When I designed him, I didn't want a flawless figure but a character that reminds people of themselves. That's why Mr. Roo doesn't have just one single face.
Why Roo?
Childhood is the endless curiosity in the eyes, the unconditional love in the heart, and that restless energy that barely fits inside the body. Mr. Roo was born to remind us of that energy. He is a little ambassador: he shows that happiness is contagious, that laughter unites, and that love multiplies the more we share it.
A Slice of Life, a Piece of You
Every Roo tells of one of the many personalities we take on in life. Sometimes he's a lover, sometimes a passionate traveler, sometimes someone chasing their dreams. He carries that unique harmony of life, art, and nature. What makes him personal are the details: every symbol, every word can be a piece of your life. My wish: that when you look at him, you first feel the smile that awakens the child within you — and then find your own story, your hobbies, and your desires in him.
Would You Like to Hug Him?
The world needs pure love and a kinder way of seeing more than ever. In a corner of your home, Mr. Roo whispers your childhood to you, the freedom of looking up at the sky, and how simple yet powerful love can be. He wasn't made only to be looked at; he was designed so that a bond forms, so that he belongs to you and lets you feel that pure love anew every day. So — which one is your Roo today? Just ask the little child inside you.
